Abstract

This study aims to determine the contribution of the principal’s managerial skills to the Child-Friendly School Program at SD Negeri 004 Bagan Timur, Bangko District, Rokan Hilir Regency. The total population in this study consisted of 23 participants. The sampling technique used was total sampling. This research employed a quantitative method. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The data analysis techniques included instrument testing, prerequisite tests for regression analysis, and hypothesis testing consisting of a simple correlation test and coefficient of determination analysis. Based on the calculations, the correlation coefficient between variable X and variable Y was 0.817. This value was then compared with the r-table value at N = 23 and a significance level of 5%. The r-table value was 0.413, indicating that the calculated r-value was greater than the r-table value (0.817 > 0.413). Therefore, the correlation coefficient is interpreted as strong or high. The coefficient of determination was found to be 66.67%. This result indicates that the contribution of the principal’s managerial skills to the Child-Friendly School Program at SD Negeri 004 Bagan Timur, Bangko District, Rokan Hilir Regency, is 66.67%, while the remaining 33.33% is influenced by other variables not included in this study. Thus, the null hypothesis (H?) is rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (H?) is accepted, meaning that there is a significant contribution of the principal’s managerial skills to the implementation of the Child-Friendly School Program at SD Negeri 004 Bagan Timur, Bangko District, Rokan Hilir Regency.
