Abstract

The various problems faced today and humans who are never satisfied with what he already has, still always looking for the real truth, so it requires truth, thus requiring a person to think about solving a problem and finding the truth in accordance with facts and science. By Therefore, this paper tries to explain the criteria for scientific truth in the Western and Islamic Western and Islamic views. Hopefully, the results of this research can provide benefits for the whole community in viewing reality and truth. Type of This research is a library research. As for The results of this study are, that the criteria of truth in the western view only relies on three forces, namely; rationalism, experientialism and criticalism in finding the truth. Whereas in an Islamic perspective, the criteria for scientific truth remains sourced to the Qur'an as a source of true truth. In this case researchers confuse three things, namely, (1) religious truth, (2) philosophical truth and (3) truth that is proven to be true. existence.
