Abstract

This research aims to reveal the history of the emergence of problems related to the Prophet's birthday in Galis Bangkalan. As well as explaining the problematic forms of the Ihtifal of the Prophet Muhammad's birthday there with academic analysis based on a linguistic approach. The research method used is a qualitative field study with a text analysis approach. The data collection technique used was interviews with several residents. reviewing important documents regarding this matter, such as the arguments and prayer readings related to this research conveyed by Inter figures in the problems surrounding the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, both in the form of audio-visual recordings based on the YouTube social network and in book documents. And observations in the field when the Prophet's birthday was held. The analysis used is based on Melis and Huberman's theory with Ali Harb's Grand theory. This research shows that first, the emergence of the problem of the Prophet's birthday in the Galis Bangkalan community originates from the emergence of Salafi preaching which has occurred in recent years. This preaching is mediated by the Galis Bangkalan community's hobby of inviting and selecting lecturers who will fill the pangajiyan which has become a habit in the middle of Indonesia. during their lives, especially during the Prophet's birthday, without them initially realizing that birthday lovers had invited anti-birthday figures. Second, the problematic nature of the implementation of the Prophet's birthday celebration resulted in the division of society into two camps that blamed each other. Mainly in analysing the arguments for whether to carry out the birthday. The contribution of this research states that reading texts based on Ali Harb's theory basically finds that there are many verses from the Al-Quran ban Khabar Nabawi which are legitimate arguments for the implementation of the Prophet's birthday in the form of takhsis munfashil. There is also an order to recite prayers in congregation in the Qur’an.
